INXEL™ pigment preparations for waterborne coating systems

The backbone of the INXEL™ pigment preparations for waterborne coating applications (B-series) is a tailor made acrylic resin of Evonik Industries. The new resin provides easy solubilization in water using common neutralizing agents (e.g. amines / ammonia). In addition, it ensures broad compatability with most commonly used water borne binder systems, like:

• PU dispersions
• Styrene-acrylic copolymers
• Stoving enamel formulations (Polyester-polyacrylate, Polyester-polyurethane / melamine)
• Polyurethane resins (1K-PU and 2K-PU systems)
• Acrylate resins (also UV)
• Epoxy resins
• Casein (e.g. for printing inks)

The binder is highly lightfast, non-yellowing, heat resistant, and in principle also suitable for the use in powder coating systems. .
