INXEL™ pigment preparations for solvent-based coating systems

The performance of INXEL™ pigment preparations for solvent-based coatings (A-series) has been proven in various coating systems, e. g. acrylate, alkyd, and polyester systems. In high performance coatings, acrylic resins are widely used in different coating formulations. INXEL™ pigment preparations were evaluated as well in hydroxyl functional acrylates, crosslinked with the aliphatic isocyanate.

In general, the binder used for the A-series for solvent-based coatings is an aldehyde resin that is soluble in most commonly used coating solvents (except water). In addition, it also ensures broad compatibility with: 

  • Alkyd resins
  • Polyurethane resins
  • Polyester resins
  • Acrylic resins
  • Nitrocellulose
  • Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB)
  • Hydroxy-Functional Polyacrylates
  • Hydrocarbon resins
  • Epoxy resins
  • Amino resins
  • Vinyl Chloride copolymers
  • Phthalate Plasticizers


The binder is highly lightfast, non-yellowing, heat resistant and also suitable for use in powder coating systems.
