INXEL™ Pigment Preparations

Evonik Degussa has invested in an innovative, young company that manufactures pigment preparations in granule form. Evonik Degussa holds exclusive worldwide distribution rights for these preparations. These preparations are marketed under the INXEL™ brand. Evonik Degussa offers pigment preparations for solvent-based coating systems (A-series) and for waterborne coating systems (B-series). Tests show that these innovative preparations can also be used in packaging printing inks and special plastics applications.

As Evonik Degussa is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of Carbon Black Pigments, it was only natural that the initial INXEL™ pigment preparations were based on Evonik Degussa Carbon Black Pigments. Today, various preparations for solvent-based coatings are available (A-Series), in different jetness ranges, for masstone and tinting applications. The color range has gradually been expanded until a color system was available providing all standard colors (not including luminescent and metallic colors) in the “RAL Classic Color Collection” spectrum. A palette consisting of more than 20 products is now commercially available for solvent-based coating systems (A-series).

The palette of the B-series for waterborne coatings will be growing gradually until as well a color system will be availbale.
